  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got my new 2013 R-Spec sedan last Friday, and wanted to get some protective film on it quick. After checking out multiple web sites, I finally had a conversation with Bob at CarProtectionPros.com, and he put together a full coverage kit for $400. It was a much better price than the other sites I found, so I ordered it! Here's the link: http://carprotectionpros.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_79_872_877_1901&product_id=2570

It covers the front bumper area, headlights, fog lights, radar covers, mirrors, 1/4 hood, front fenders, a-pillars, front of roof, door handle recesses, front of rear fenders, and trunk ledge.

It can be ordered with 3M Scotchguard PPF or the 3M VentureShield. I prefer the Scotchguard film since it is a clearcoat film and doesn't stain like VentureShield. It is a little harder to work with, but it's not that bad once you get the hang of it.

I'll post some pictures once I have applied it.

How do you like it a year later?

I actually work at 3M and before this product hit the market they were asking employees to test it out and provide feedback. I didn't want to be a guinea pig though. Thinking about doing it now though, mostly to protect against rock chips.
