On another forum folks were commenting on the new 585 hp Camaro. Someone posted a video of one at the GP track in Germany (Nurburgring??). Chevrolet paid to rent the track, ran the ZL1 all by itself on the track and ran and 7:40 lap time.
I remembered a post (from here I think) about the first 3.8 Track Coupe that was run at the same GP track. The guy that drove it was on the track with everybody else, talking about what he was doing, talking about what the car was doing, cursing at the people that wouldn't get out of his way and held him up and still ran an 8:40 lap (if my memory is correct).
I posted that on that forum with the question, "I wonder what the Genesis Coupe lap time would be with no other cars on the track to slow it down?" and did not get a single comment recognizing my post in that thread. I kept going back and checking but my post was ignored. Just thought it was kind of funny (and a little bit sad that the Camaro couldn't do better.
