  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2009 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 - Short Take Road Test - March 2009

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...2009_hyundai_genesis_3_8_short_take_road_test

Interesting synopsis:

"Highs: Great ride, roomy interior, stitched leather on the dash.

Lows: Feels underpowered at full throttle, IRS won’t believe your claimed income."

In light of the numerous comments on the suspension, it is interesting that they cite the "ride" as one of the "highs". Could it be, that Hyundai has already taken corrective action and incorporated the mods to the cars currently being delivered?

It DOES say March 2009. That's odd. In any event, we have a "Reviews in the News" forum - which is where I'm moving this to now..

This has been up a while and is the same article that mentions that the V6 exhibits "less" suspension "crash" than the V8.

That implies it still has some "suspension crash" of course. If Hyundai supplied the vehicle they would have been wise to tweak the ride before turning it over.

the 290-hp Korean is no slouch, getting from 0 to 60 in six seconds flat. In fact, that’s the identical time we got with a V-8–powered Genesis 4.6, and the overachieving V-6 Genesis also matched the 375-hp V-8 model through the quarter-mile, at 14.5 seconds.

I thought that was the best part of the article..........

Oh Boy! Here we go again with "what's better, the V6 or the V8?"
Of course we all know the answer to that one.....

interesting, a slow v8?

Car&driver has the times at 5.5 and 14.0

Motortrend has it 5.7 and 14.0

Car & Drivers' official 0-60 time (on U.S. soil) for the V8 is 6.0, not 5.5 seconds FWIW.
