  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There's a new dealer in Danvers, MA. I believe the location is temporary until the new stand-alone facility is ready. It's under construction on Rt 114, which is also known as the "northern auto mile." This is good for me since it's much closer than the dealer I bought the car from.

A few weeks ago I bought my GV70 3.5 SP from them. It's a hike from here (135mi) but they had a red one and that's what my wife wanted. . . The sales part of the transaction went smoothly (I buy over the internet, only spoke to their internet person).

I would rate the experience a "D". Little things that shouldn't happen just soured me. When I drove up there (from CT) I saw the car, declined a test drive, did all the paperwork and was on my way home in about 30 minutes - without the car. They have to come to CT DMV to register the car with me. That took another 10 days for me to get the appointment and then met them at the Norwich DMV. Not their fault.

The roof rack, which was in a box in the rear when I 1st saw the car was now out of the box, in pieces in the back. Why not installed?
The salesperson who drove the car down spent all of 2 minutes familiarizing me with the features / how to. Really? He told me to text him if I had any questions and he would zoom with me. Well, I emailed him once, called once and texted twice - radio silence.
A couple of days after getting the vehicle I did a quick check of fluid levels / tire pressure. Hmmm the front washer tank took just shy of a gallon. How much could it hold? The 4 tires each had their own pressure setting - none 35 or 39. What else was overlooked?
Oh, I emailed the owner, Matt McGovern, to express my disappointment - more radio silence.

I could have spent a lot less to get this level of non service.

Disappointing to read. My experience with the Genesis of North Aurora Premier Showroom (Ill). was as expected. Low pressure, good prep, well trained staff.

I think you hit the nail right on the head @MarengoMac ! They were a combined Hyundai / Genesis dealership. Now the Genesis operation is in a temporary building while their new facility is being built for them. That said the existing operation - and no one who knows me would accuse me of being sophisticated - comes off as 'low rent'.
The experience would have been a light year better if the staff had been trained well.
