  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I found a 2012 3.8 with 20,500 miles and snatched it up. I just wanted to thank you guys for the forum. I'm reading up on how to change badging and etc., lots of good info here, thanks.

I did have one question. What sort of maintenance items should I check on? The car seems to be in great condition, and while the mileage is very low, is there any items I should be concerned about just based solely on the amount of time elapsed? It just had an oil change. I checked the air filter and cabin air filter and they're dirty so I'm replacing those today.

Battery. Check connections and grounds.

just bought myself a 2012 v6 with same mileage. Bought it 2 months ago so can't say if it's going to be reliable but so far I love it. I did a oil change and I suspect a power steering leak but what an amazing car for the price !!

Well, I'm in the same club. Picked up my 2013 3.8 with just 40,000 on the clock in January. Absolutely love this car.

Check your serpentine belt for cracks, change oil and filters and check battery of course. Transmission is a hot topic, factory says change fluid at 100,000 but you have to determine if you want to wait that long.

Change the brake fluid for sure.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Wow. Great cars. How much should a 2009 with similar miles be? I came across one, and am trying to decide. Also, anything i should check on it before i buy it? Thanks

I need to upgrade my NAV can someone help locating a disk to buy.I look on line and it says contact dealer. I have contacted the dealer and they want 350.00 i dont have that. I have a 2010 Genisis sedan touch screen.I really could use some insight please.

Check ebay for someone selling a new cd. However, be very careful in installing the map update. Do not turn the engine off while the update is installing because then the nav system can lockup and in some cases will not work again.

i looked on ebay with no luck.

When you purchase the OS/Map updates from MapNSoft, which is the largest part of what your dealership is charging you (Aside from the 1 to 2 hours of labor since it takes ****ing forever for it to update and is best done with a battery tender providing power to the battery). Or keep the car running until the update is complete which can be 3 hours.

Usually your dealer already has the DVDs, it's the unique code tied to just your headunit is the chief thing they are buying from MapNSoft.

I acquired the discs from a friend that purchased them and did his own update and yes the OS will update with no issue, the map update will not even start until you provide it with the unique code. You have to have that code.

Hi celiboom, curious, how much did you score this deal for?
Reason I ask is that i just got a 2009 v8 for $15K; and am trying to determine whether that was fair value, or did i over/under pay. Thanks
