  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have had my new 3.8 with sig and tech for two weeks and it is everything I was expecting and then some. between the cars I have purchased for myself, my wife, and my kids this is my 8th hyundai. I traded my wifes 2011 sonata for it and gave her my 2015 sonata. The only issue I have with the Genesis is that the Lexicon stereo is extremely lame in the low end range compared to the infinity in the sonata. You guys have a great forum here, very informative and I look forward to becoming part of the community.

:welcome: aboard. Congrats on your new ride. Try turning off the Surround Sound then kick up the bass setting a couple of ticks. It greatly improves the quality of the sound to me.

:welcome: Enjoy your ride! What color did you get?

Also consider to set the fade to be mores from the rear. Congrats!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I have the bass kicked up to ten. I have tried SSon and off and have adjusted towards the rear and it just does not touch the sound of the infinity. The stereo sounds great mind you, it is just that the Sonata sub blows this one away. I think one issue is that the trunk and rear deck are so well soundproofed that they dampen the sound significantly whereas the Sonata did not have such issue.

Just wanna the give you some hints, you can get sub installed under the seats, they are kicker sub I had them installed in my Scion FRS, just check they website, about 400$ each and they rock, this could solve you issue

Thanks jubeysan. I have contemplated adding a sub and amp but I am concerened that the oem amp or head unit might go out and they would not cover it under warranty because of the aftermarket amp

the kicker sub are powered sub they have their own amp so really you just need to get a cable out from the head unit ( analogue Red and white Stereo jack ) to the sub can't really damage anything but will get you a lot more bass

but still it's your decison just wanna share the info :-)
