  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just picking up a 2011 3.8 Sedan with tech package, Pearl White on black. I usually do most of my own maintenance, so I'm looking forward to learning about this car. Was supposed to pick it up today but they discovered an 'oil leak', turns out to be the ABS unit, sad me!! Anyway they are replacing the unit and hopefully the car will be in my hands next week. My son also has a 3.8, not sure what it is called but a really nice Blue on tan. His head unit is toast, so I am very interested to see a thread about alternative aftermarket options. I'm sure you guys will be a place where I come for real help.

Don't be sad, better they replace the ABS unit than you. Plenty of information here so immerse yourself in searches.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Genesis Sedan! What did the Genesis replace for you? I'm glad you found us. :)

Thanks guys, appreciate the welcome.

I have have owned 3 BMW's, 3 Jeep Grand Cherokees, 2 Land Rover Discoveries and an LR3 (a Discovery in disguise) along with a few things in between. I decided a while ago, with the increase in the price of gas, that I would get sensible and stepped into a Nissan Versa. Great little car, economical and easy to park but, a little lacking in just about every other area I enjoy in a car. My son came to visit for Fathers Day in his Genesis, I'm sold, so now is the Versa. I live in Ontario Canada, in the traditional snow belt, although that seems to be changing, so I will be on the hunt for rims and some good snow tires in a couple of months.
