Great Forum and been member for awhile and never posted.
Always a GM fan for a great many years and so many cars. My wife purchased her first 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. Easy to work on and an ok vehicle. My GMC truck with 480,000 kms was getting sleepy so I picked up an 2008 Santa Fe. One of the Santa Fe's after a few years had a frame rot issue and I purchased a 2012 Genesis Sedan 3.8. Great car, did get a 3 month warranty. After driving for a few days noticed a shifting problem between 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th. Back to the dealer I purchased it from. Good result new transmission.
Been great car however mileage now around 250,000 kms and using a great deal of oil. Huge smoke trail if hard acceleration. And driving 130 kms per hour on the highway. About a quart every other tank of gas! Or more if running it hard. So we needed another car, bought a 2016 Genesis sedan 3.8. Great car too. But the 2012 which I happen to like much more that the 2016, not sure what to do about the oil leak?? Did the CRC and Seafoam cleaner on the intake valves. Runs smoother but no change. Any ideas???
