  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey folks, my name is Dan, from West Chester, PA and I'm the proud new (to me) owner of a 2011 Genesis Sedan 4.6. Lovely car.

Here's my one complaint. The brake rotors and pads were replaced just before I bought it,.(still shiny) but the fronts are already out of round. Less than 2,000 miles later! I guess these were really cheap rotors. I saw in invoice for 4 new rotors and pads for $160 installed!! Again, really cheap apparently...

Anyway, I was thinking of putting on OEM or equivalent and was looking for some direction on where to best get them and which rotors/ pads, if not OEM, would people recommend. I have begun looking at the threads but have not yet come across this information. So any and all input is welcomed.

Thanks in advance!

Dan

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I redid the front rotors on my r-spec a couple months after I had gotten it as they OEMs were warped and a year later they were shot again Originally got those from Autozone I think, which in hindsight was a bad idea. Ended up going with the Raybestos coated line second time around for the fronts and Centric painted on the rears from Rockauto and they have been perfect since. I'm not 100% but I believe the Raybestos are the OEMs for the r-spec just repackaged.

I'll save the parts store brakes for my beater trucks from here on out.

Make sure the lugs are torqued correctly and by hand.
