  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all,

Proud new owner of a 2023 GV70 Select. Red/vanilla

Technically my wife's car for commuting to work, but I drive it all other times. My car is a 2012 Jag XK so lots more tech in this new vehicle.

Looking forward to learning more about this car.

Cheers!

Let's see some pictures of that jag!

Here's a pic of both.

Thanks Sal, The GV70 replaced a 2018 Mazda CX5, which was a flawless car for us. Hope for the same from the Genesis.

Nice upgrade from the also nice Mazda CX5. What are some of the things you like about the GV70 that the MX5 was missing?

Power for sure. The Mazda had just 186 HP and that was always it's achiles heal. Plus 5 years newer tech and something it didn't have and the reason we jumped on a 2023 vs a 2024 Select was the ventilated seats. A must have here in Texas. Sadly as of 2024 you have to spend an extra 10k to get the ventilated seats. That alone might have sent me to the competition. Glad I got a '23 exactly how we wanted it.

The only downside to all this technology these newer cars are getting is reliability. Some of that stuff is bound to break-down from time to time, and it's not likely inexpensive to fix. Gone are the days you could keep a car for 10 or 20 years...
