  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys, nice to be on the forum, my names Mark and I'm from Eastern PA.

I joined to check out the forum and get to know the Genesis, particularly the 2.0t.

My roots are in Mitsubishi turbos, namely DSMs and 3000GTs.

I'm debating my next car purchase, I just sold my old 2004 Mazda3 which was my daily driver and was about to pick up a Mazdaspeed3 but the Genesis will 99% be my next car purchase since I'm relatively excited about a 2.0t RWD coupe that is new on the market.

I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota which is mainly used for toting engines around but currently serves as my DD.

I also own a 1997 Talon TSi which, as usual, is down for the count at the moment. I wrecked my differential on Saturday as Island dragway (transmission needed to be replaced anyway), the car is a pretty simple setup SCM5031E, 272's, DSMlink and supporting mods. I have it running on E85 and put down 379FWHP/330FWTQ on a conservative tune. Before it broke I was able to run a few passes just running 1/2/3rd and coasting through the traps. My 4th gear synchro was out but I was still managing to trap 111-113 by just clutching in and coasting. By the end of the month I'd like to see 400FWHP and 120MPH traps (with a working fourth gear obviously).

I have done a few N/A -> TT swaps in 3000GTs and used to have a 3000GT VR4 but quickly found out they are a complete pain to modify reliably so I got out of those.

I've dabbled in 300ZX TT's for a little while but they weren't really my type of car. I mean, I had to remove my transmission to delete my EGR and change downpipes. Also, a set of Nismo 555cc injectors set me back almost 800 dollars.

Anyhow, nice to be here- if anyone wants pics I don't mind to showoff every once in a while. :D

I'm on DSMtalk.com/300zxclub.com/3si.org/tristatetuners.com as well.

:)
