  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thank you!

Thanks! I’m so happy with it so far. Can’t wait to keep adding on the miles in this one. She sure is a dream to drive.

Thank you so much! I appreciate the explanation, I was unaware of Tapatalk’s security issues. Kind of worrying but thankfully I never inputted any sensitive information into the app. To be completely honest, your website is well formatted on mobile at its current stage. I’d really only like a way to conveniently upload pictures, as I use my phone more often now than my desktop. Thanks for keeping up a great forum!

Here are some quick snaps of the new girl on my drive home and in the lot! If you look in the back, you can see the ex (red Colorado ZR2) getting upset that I’m trading her in haha.

Jeez, I almost shed a tear for your Colorado. :p But your Genesis looks so good! :D Did you ever think you'd be driving a Hyundai? I was around during the days of the Hyundai Excel so I can't say I did... Thank you for the kind words about the forum. :)

Thank you! I loved the Colorado but I couldn’t justify it. I never utilized any of its features, especially in the Metro Detroit area. I can honestly say that I never thought I’d be in a Hyundai. I’m not sure what it was that sparked my interest in the Genesis, it might’ve been the new G80 Sport that led me to think “hey, I wonder how much the older ones are going for now?” That must’ve been my “aha” moment, seeing how great of a deal I can get a full-on luxury vehicle with solid performance capability.

Yes, the Genesis is hard to beat. I'm sure they'll be giving us great cars to buy for a long time. Lexus was a great buy for a while but now their quality is down and prices are way up. Genesis is picking up where Lexus left off...

I have a funny story that you might like. My father-in-law is a master welder. He and his best buddy have been building and re-building cars for a couple of decades now. He's got a beautiful garage-kept 68 Camaro, and they are always finding old engines, cars, and chassis and re-building/fixing stuff up. In other words, he's an old-school Detroit Musclecar guy. Well when I first met his buddy, I told them I had a V8 Hyundai. His immediate reaction was, "Hyundai doesn't make a V8." So I took them both out the garage and showed them my Genesis. They looked at each other kinda puzzled and were poking around the engine bay, remarking on all the plastic covering the engine, etc.

Later on the three of us went out to dinner at Twin Peaks, and on an empty road I popped a quick century in smooth, quiet, highly-refined, non-dramatic fashion. Their response (nearly in unison): "Nice. But fix the cigarette lighter."

Absolutely agreed. Biermann is a great addition to have and will point the company in the right direction for sure. I’ve always loved and respected Lexus but they’re latest designs just aren’t doing it for me. Especially at that price point.

Haha, that is a funny story!!! By the way, that generation of Camaro is my favorite generation by far.
