  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all, new member here. Found this forum after trying to google what is the real service interval for normal driving conditions: 3k or 6k miles.
Manual says 6k miles.
Website/app say 3k miles.
When I pretend I think the app is correct and try to schedule service, it only gives me the 6k miles option to choose from...
I haven't even started complaining about how buggy their website/app is...

Welcome. I'm hope you enjoy the G70 more than the app or website.

Welcome!
I would say a 3k visit is rather pointless. I'm personally waiting to get up towards 6k on the odometer before I take mine in.

And when I try to schedule service the Genesis website has no option for 3k mile service, only 5k or 6k!

Welcome to the forum!!
Congrats on the G70. I picked mine up brand new about a year ago in July. 2023 Sport Prestige package with awd. LOVE the car. An absolute blast to drive and very comfortable. I can tell that the car if equipped with an aftermarket tune/mods will definitely be way fun to drive. It's begging to be "uncorked", in my opinion.

Any photos of your '24?
We love photos! :)

I think the first service is 6k.
I remember the salesman telling me that I thought that I had read here as well. Don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure it's 6k. Plus, the car will tell you when it's time as will the app on the phone.

Thank you Tones! I just got a call from Genesis after sending an inquiry through their website earlier today (Great service!). The guy on the phone confirmed its 6k, that the manual is the legal and binding document (it says 6k), and said they will look into why the website/app says 3k miles and formally respond to my inquiry.

I also got the Sport Prestige but for some reason they don't like selling AWD versions in Texas. We certainly don't have snow but I have felt the back try to slide a couple of times on a curve with the RWD, which I imagine would not happen with AWD...

I love the G70, its an awesome car, best car I've owned. I was looking at a BMW 430i and Acura TLX Type S, and the G70 beat them by a mile...
Amazing how far Genesis has come in such a short time. I do like both cars you mentioned, but the G70 is something special for sure... That new Acura TLX is really nice - but when all is said and done, it really doesn't stand up to the G70 - or the BMW 430i for that matter.
