  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New member - new car(s)

Great.

Having a hard time finding the 3175. Is the 3022 (available on ebay) the equivalent?

Update: Nevermind. Found both at just one of the many Autozones in the area. The rest of them are all out...

Bosch Icon Wipers - much better than OEM wipers!

Out with the old, in with the new ;)

Question, how do you get the wipers to to stay up on the windshield with the power off? As soon as I power off, my wipers return to the resting position every time.

Ar you really enjoying your Titanium Gray RSPEC so far? I will be picking mine up soon. Just wondering if it is everything you anticipated, and more.

At first, I was like WTF? there is no room to lift them off the windshield...then I read the manual :D

There is a "trick" to that :p

1. Get in the car and shut the door
2. Push the start button
3. Push the start button again to put it into ACC mode
4. Push the start button one more time to turn the car OFF
5. Push the "Mist" feature upwards for 5 seconds or so
6. The wipers will move up and stop to service them
7. Get back in the car and turn the car on and hit the wiper button to put them back down.

I have been using Bosch wipers on all may cars for a few years now. Well worth the extra money. Best wipers out there by far. Especially in this Florida sun... :)

This is my favorite color, so of course I am! :D
If I really like it? hmm...... had been driving E39 540i 6 speed for 12 years , I still compare my other cars to that "ultimate driving machine".
Maybe I was expecting a little bit more, but this isn't a German car and it doesn't cost 60k+

So I guess I am happy with my R spec ;)

I'm thinking your wife may not be so happy with it, given all the love and attention you've been lavishing on your car. ;)

I think you'd better take her out to a nice restaurant. Soon.

Thanks for the info. I'll try it out.

You can also raise the lever within a few seconds of shutting the car off.

Just picked the LED for the doors and found out my door light does not have a notch like yours (according to the pic you posted) and my car is the same years as yours??
I'm afraid to break it with a prying tool (being extreme caution here). What gives?

Can you post a picture?

This light is located at the bottom of each door.

They look alike....just try gently on either side and it will pop out.

I see .
Will try with a different tool (plastic) tomorrow.
Thanks bud.
