  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Picked up a 2012 3.8 Sedan on Friday and have a couple of quick questions. The drivers side mirror Led turn signal indicator does not illuminate in turn or hazard mode. It does, however, come on with the key fob lock and unlock press. All other turn signals are working... what gives?
I'm also looking for the MAF sensor for the purpose of giving it a quick clean since I have 70,791 on the OD and I'm guessing it hasn't been cleaned yet. Where the heck is it on the 3.8 Lambda 2 GDI?

I would just get some mass air flow sensor cleaner and spray it off. My can has lasted me 5 cars!
The mechanic's manual says "B" is your MAF sensor in the diagram below.

Thanks Jabald but that's not the air cleaner assembly for the direct injection engine.
I have this one and it doesn't have a MAF where one would normally be located.
I'm beginning to think they didn't use one or it is incorporated into the throttle body18369.

I realized that the 2012 was a gdi after I already posted... Whoops! Just edited it and found where it was in the 2012 3.8 gdi manual.

Negative. I pulled that sensor out and it is part # 39300-3C300 which is a MAP not a MAF sensor.
Thanks for looking it up though. Maybe they don't use a MAF sensor on the GDI engines?

Yep. I read through some forums last night and determined it does not use one. Thanks
