  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Not my first post here (asked a couple pre-purchase questions), but I figure a proper introduction is in order. Just got a 2012 R-Spec last Friday.

And I couldn't be happier. I feel like I'm 16 again driving my mom's car. I actually went out for a drive just because I wanted to drive it one night. I look forward to leaving work because I get to drive it home. My only regret is that I didn't buy one sooner (especially considering I leased an Acura ILX in January and wound up paying nearly $1,000 month (factoring in the screw-job I got on my trade and its negative equity) to drive that downgraded Civic Si for 9 months).

I plan on detailing it this weekend. Anybody have any products they recommend to keep it looking good? Any areas to pay attention to?

Well here your official "Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up!". :)

It sounds like you're really loving the R-Spec. And why not?! It's a great luxury sedan... Congratulations! :)

Welcome to the group, and congrats on your purchase. I've been using Griot's products for some time and I've been happy, what I've been using lately is their new Complete Polish along with their 6" Random Orbital easy to use and great results.

Welcome to the group..... The Meguiar's Ultimate line is pretty good stuff and is affordable and you can buy it at most auto parts stores and lots of it at WalMart which has waay better prices.
If you want specifics, please ask with pertinent information as to what level you wish to detail your new (to you) ride.
