  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Bought a 23 G70 2.0 AWD in July of 24 and I love it. I joined this forum to keep up on the latest from people who know and get some advice to get it dialed in.

Congratulations. I’m the new owner of a 2025 2.5 RWD.

...and congratulations to you too! What did the G70 replace for you?

The G70 replaced a 2014 Nissan Maxima. Back in the day the Maxima was known as the 4DSC - four door sports car.
I definitely remember the Maxima. Ever since the first generation it was considered an enthusiast car - and it improved with every generation. Great cars. Anything you miss about the Maxima compared to the G70?

Not really. I liked my Maxima and certainly could have kept it longer as I had less than 110k miles on it but I was “ready” for something new.

The 2.5T G70 is quicker, handles better, looks better and is nicer inside but of course the Maxima had a little more rear legroom and a much bigger trunk. My particular Maxima was also super reliable. I had one small mechanical repair (thermostat relay) in over 10 years of ownership.

Glad to hear you're liking the G70 so much. It says a lot if you're happy with it after Maxima ownership. There's plenty of good reasons why the Maxima was so popular. It's a bit of a shame that larger sedans aren't selling like they used to - but I guess we just have to move on. It's nice to know there are still options from Asia. It looks like the Altima is taking over the Maxima's role for Nissan...
