If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New Official 0-60 Thread

Let’s add some 2.0T for lollerskates.

Specs:
Custom tune with 1.65 bar (~24 psi) boost
Custom hybrid turbo (2 mm increase on the wheels)
Stock TCU
Honda S2000 air filter in stock inlet pipe
Subaru GDB FMIC
Magnaflow 200 cells catalyst
Custom 3” exhaust
245/45/18 winter tyres
Weds Velva Sport wheels (~9.3 kg each)
RON100 fuel, around 3/4 of the tank

Won’t be updated unfortunately, would’ve likely be 4.5- time on tuned TCU it runs now. Maybe better as the launch control on hybrid turbo was fairly lackluster back then.
Wow thats Very good for a 2.0T,
Did you dyno the car ? Must be around 280whp at least
Any quarter mile Time ?
As a 2.0t owner im looking for performance option

No dyno, unfortunately. Had issues with different setups showing same power values on dyno, while putting up different times on the road (happens at higher boost levels). We might’ve localized the problem, but I’m running slightly different setup now. Might do a run later in spring. 280-290 whp looks fairly spot on with around 20% transmission losses on AWD and competitors times/HP figures.

I think I had some winter slightly uphill 1/4 @ around 13.1 or so, but I don’t actually run 0-60 or 1/4 specifically, more interested in 100-200 kph / 60-130 mph myself. 1/4 could certainly be better as I didn’t tinker with launch control (it goes off at 0.5 bar instead of 0.9 on stock turbo, so hybrid is actually worse here).

If you are going for a tune, I’d suggest stopping at stage 2. Going over 1.55 boost has ECU-related issues, hybrid turbo needs extensive remapping, stock HPFP is at its limits around 370-380 crank HP or so (depends on your AFR setup, naturally). Not worth the effort compared to 330-350 crank hp you can get on stage 2 tbh.

Great ! Thanks for the info ! So basicly those 2.0t are not as good as the N version 2.0t .. even with turbo upgrade.. i know t so with jb4 on map 2 and Bolt on i'm pretty much

Great , thanks for the info,
I was wondering what would be the best bang for the buck mods /tune for the 2.0t but you just open my eyes by founding the limit of the ecu ,fuel pump etc..
I have acces to a Very good tuner and i was considering buying the New SXTH élément EK1 module to get a custom tune.. but if i am limited to 330~ish HP and i can get that with jb4 map 2 alone i would probably just get that instead.
You seems to be the only one i Found that push the 2.0t Platform further so thanks for tout advice 💪

They are fairly similar save certain hardware details, but the ECUs are built different apparently. There’s a guy in Germany who’s pretty deep into their tuning and he runs like 2-2.1 bars of boost (mttuning in insta). He also swaps HPFPs to TCR ones (those go up to 450 hp or so) and runs meth as well to get higher figures. He goes with a larger turbo for the upgrade (and I30’s stock one is bit larger than ours too).

My ECU just crashes and pops ROM error at 1.55+ bar (255 kpa boost, 1 byte max value). We’ve found a workaround, but it makes the car bit too jerky/bumpy in non wide open throttle modes (casual driving, basically).

So yeah, unless you fancy running lots of tests to milk out those last 10-20 hp, jb4 will provide a decently close result power-wise.

All right , sounds good.
Can my tuner create a map with the jb4 unit ? I tried to Found that info but.. no success...
And i call a racechip distibutor that Tell me that their Chip was more complete than te jb4 solution.. not sure , i still hesitate between the two options

JB4 map 6 is the one used for custom tune, should be easy to setup for anyone familiar with it and its logging capabilities.

Idk about that other option. A proper tune can be better than JB4 for a bunch of reasons, the other decent piggyback boxes are more or less the same all around. Like, lap3 can tune ignition timing unlike jb4, though that doesn’t affect us much (the car autoadjusts anyway). So the seller needs to specify what is better in thrir chip :)

New Entry!! If you get a chance let's a 1/4 mile run and get you up on the boards. This seems pretty quick considering this is a 2.0T!

Just got the Dragy for Christmas rushed right out to try it out... completely stock with a 1/2 tank of gas and my phat assdragy g70.webp

Wow!! That's the same as my son's Rivian R1T quad motor, and that thing literally takes your breath away by compressing your chest during launch. Impressive time!

VERY funny.

"Oh, I forgot to mention this from two months ago. Ferrari Enzo fast. NBD.
Carry on."

(congratulations)

Haha. I posted in the 1/4 mile thread but forgot about this thread.

Any of you speed demons have Terry’s from BMS direct email address? I don’t the support or the JB4 email support…

Thank you very much! I noticed you have a LOZIC ECU/TUNE….can I ask you some questions…that order form is nuts!

Sure, but send me a message. We don't want to hijack this thread, lol

finally got a valid 0-60... jb4 map 4, Lozic TCU pressure 2 -8, BMS intakes ,1/4 tank Continental Extremes Contact DW06
