  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all,
Just dropping in to say hi and learn some more about my new (to me) ride.
I picked up a 2009 3.8 Sedan, Cabernet Red with Tech package this weekend.

I'm loving it so far.

I came from a highly modified 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6spd (think 1000bhp).
Talk about night and day difference. Luxury (with performance) is definately for me for the next few years.

The wife and kid are fans of the huge interior (especially compared to the G coupe lol).

And no I won't be doing any mods to this car (well maybe wheels in the spring).

Tom

Congratulations Tom! I just got my second Genesis - never been happier with a car!

You had a G35 coupe as your family car?? My wife is thinking (very reluctantly) about selling her beloved G because she can't figure out a way to put a child seat in the back for grandbabies. Did you have a car seat? How did you make it work? In addition to the space problem, my wife has arthritis in her wrists and hands, making it very difficult for her to lift the children into a seat).

I had G before wife/child.

Child is 11 and is step-daughter so I never had child seat back there. They say they are setup to mount a seat in there. But I never tried.

So many little things that drove them nuts (that were the inherit nature of a highly modified car). None of those issues in this one.

First vehicle with XM and I will never go back lol....ALWAYS something to listen to and no commercials lol.
And I think every car should have AC'd seats......I could drive all day with that.

Tom
