  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a new owner of a 2013 3.8. Up until a couple of weeks ago my daily driver was a 2002 BMW 525I. I owned that car for over 12 years, just under 100,000 mi. I loved that car. Well about 2 1/2 weeks ago a lady blew through a stop sign & totaled both cars (both hers & mine}. Her insurance paid me $6,800, which was more than fair as I only paid $7,200 when I bought it. So, I had to look around for another car. I am an old codger & drive about 8,000 a year. I had never paid much attention to the Genesis brand, but I came across a 2013 with 109,000 mi. I drove it & was pleasantly surprised. Everything was in great shape. The car had been owned by a lady & had a full service history. I did some research on line. I saw many Genesis with way over 100,000 Mi. Many with near 200,000 Mi. I told the used car dealer if he could get me out the door, tax, tags, & all for $6,500 I would buy it. He agreed so I bought it. I have been very happy with it. It is very quick (much faster than my 2002 BMW). The 8 speed auto is so smooth shifting & the ride is really luxurious. I am hoping to get another 30,000 or so miles.
Thanks for this forum.

Looks like a good deal on a clean car. You should get another 30k out of it. Nice that insurance covered it too.

Plenty of help here if you have questions.

Excellent purchase. I'm sitting at 243,400 miles from brand new.
