  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been a Hyundai manager (at one of the automotive plants) for many years. I'm a big car guy but Hyundai never really had anything that truly excited me (I haven't owned a car with less than 500 hp in a while). With that said, we have the ability to order company cars so I put in my order today for a G70 3.3T AWD Sport in Siberian Ice with the red stitching.

Have to say I'm excited to see how the evolution of the 3.3T progresses. It seems to be taking well in the Stinger community so I have a lot of faith in the aftermarket community. I need to order a JB4 today and some lowering springs. Forget the break in period, we have to order a new car every 10 months so I don't have to worry about the wear and tear on the engine. ;)

If you ever have hard to answer questions you can't get from the dealer, I work directly with a lot of the engineers who design things (not this particular vehicle but I have contacts across the company).

Happy to be here!

Welcome and thank you!!

I have the same car with gray stitching. Love it. Love it even more with the JB4 ;)

I was going back and forth over the silver and red stitching. Some pictures online showed the silver stitching to be too subtle. In others, it was more pronounced. The red in all images seemed to be pretty evident so I went that route. I truly wanted to go with a Havana with red stitching but the Havana is on hold right now due to paint issues so that color can't be ordered at all.

Oh...well...do share. What is wrong? And do existing HavRed owners need to worry?

I took delivery of mine last week, I would like to hear about this. I haven't seen much about this on here

Thanks for being here!

I have a question and possible favor - how can I get ahold of a factory service manual? Anyway you can help me with that? I do all my own work, and previous cars I've had I've used FSM's to do everything and they are invaluable. Please let me know.

I didn't ask, I was just informed that there was a problem with the paint. I would imagine it is the current quality of the paint on cars in port or at the factory. I’ll try to investigate further.

As far as the service manual goes, I’ll have to ask to see if I can get my hands on one for ya. 👍🏼

Oh man, please do! I'm down to pay you money for one.

There are a bunch of us that would like a service manual for our own use. I have a G80 3.8.

I did get a response on the Havana Red issue, it is a paint matching issue. It isn't a quality issue for those who already are driving a HR variant.

Thanks for the update.

Hello! Do you think there will be any significant changes to the 2020 G70 from the 2019? Just curious if I should wait. Thanks!

Only change is self closing trunk.

Only change is self closing trunk.

I think I've seen you post it in another thread (can't remember which), but could you provide where you got this info again?

^ i was told by a Genesis rep (corporate) that the trunk-close feature will be available next year, but not on all models! this will be available/standard on top trims only.

So no talk of the 3-D cluster?
