  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New owner checking in...

Oh absolutely. The way this whole sale went though, I literally went from taking delivery to waiting seven weeks for the car. It's double frustrating because of that :D

I know it sucks man. Honestly though you might inquire with the dealer about when the MY 2016 vehicles are due, and what kind of deal you'd get on that. When you take delivery of a car so late in the MY, you take a beating on depreciation before you even get the keys. That might be worth noting when you talk to your dealer.

The car arrived last night. I'm picking it up Monday morning :D

1. That's awesome!!!! :D
2. Dude-wait, what? You've got to wait until Monday!?? That's awful!!!

On a serious note, I'd tell them to make sure it's not test-driven or any thing like that before pickup.

And clean of dealer stickers.

I think they know that if they drive this car at all I'll flay them like a Bolton.

I got an Empire Gray 3.8 Genisis Tech Package last week. The dealer tinted it and removed the trunk badge too!

Look what just came home...

I picked up a nail in the driver rear tire sometime today! Shoot me!

You are a bit cursed right now. You need some church or something...

Are you eligible for the tire recall?

Mine came with the Michelins from the factory. Got the tire patched yesterday at lunch and it's holding air so no trouble. I bought 5yr no deductible tire and rim coverage anyhow.

Have some condensation inside the left tail light on the trunk. Is this related to the recall?

It sounds like it, and I'm surprised. Your car is an order car, which means it should have a build date after the recall was announced.

Yes it is covered under the recall. Call your dealer and read off your VIN number and they should be able to tell you if it was performed. If it was, then I would tell them they need to do it again.

Well I've been driving it for a week and let's just say that I was actually depressed that I had to take the Santa Fe to work yesterday instead.

Lovely car, comfortable while still feeling aggressive. Love the seats, stereo, everything. I find the nanny systems a little bit intrusive and I'm still getting used to the touch screen controls and layout but I really have no complaints at all.

It's not as sporty as some of the other options I considered, but really I'm driving this to work and back 90% of the time. As long as it can pass the yahoo going 40 in a 60 with a little oomph (and sound great while doing it) that's enough for me.

Fuel economy, not so good, but I'm keeping it locked in Sport Mode during the break-in anyhow.

Great, great car.

And maybe I spoke too soon? There is a golf ball sized oil spot on my driveway, right about under the rear differential.

I would take it in and have then checked out. If you do, please keep us posted. That the first oil leak at the rear end I have read on here.

Yeah I parked in a different spot tonight to make sure it wasn't from something else, but yeah it sure looks like it's the Gen.
