You're probably right Ed, I was simply assuming based on what I had seen as far as available space. The Jukebox could very well be a flash chip built into the system somewhere on the board or elsewhere. I had hoped it was on the SD giving us the option to expand, but oh well to that thought.

And I did not know about the XM rewind feature...interesting.

buffered 1 hour for the currently tuned
channel (Instant Replay) and at least 1/2
hour for each of the 6 smart favorites.

In addition, have you selected any favorite songs or artists? For artists I have Chet Atkins. Any time he is playing any song on any station a notice pops up and you just hit the button to play it.

Odd, I just checked and you are absolutely correct Sir. There is no download option and defaults to making you purchase the SD card too, for the Jog Dial only. I checked the Touch Only and there it allows the download option. It does state: "V13.5 North America Map Update for Genesis(JogDial/Premium) - 135SP2DH. 32G SD is required." But I thought we already had a 32GB SD Card?

I'll pull it later & see...

While the song is playing, hit the MENU in upper right corner, select FAVORITES. You can choose artist or song and save up to 50.

When they come on any station you get a pop up on the screen.

In that case yes it would. You just install the sd card, start your car and it will start the update. Don't be concerned if you see a black screen, it's just thinking.

Yes, pretty simple. You can drive the car but will not have the backup camera or radio while it is installing. When the music comes back it is done.

Thanks gentleman! A person can really learn a lot about this vehicle just by reading your posts. I have read the owners manual a couple times, but I can comprehend instructions on these matters better when chatting with someone who has been there done that ! Thank you all!

I anticipate the arrival of the new sdcard so I can have all the new goodies! Car and driver says that new car sales were hurting for Sept, but the Genesis sales were up a couple hundred %. After owning one I see why. AWESOME VEHICLE!!!

I think you're right, I have the 3.8 with the tech package which you would think should have the same as the ultimate but that would be wishful thinking. Lol.

I thought the juke box was a drive in the radio. It also spools the (first six) SiriusXM station you are listening to so you can rewind it.

I'm pretty sure I've been able to rewind stations that DON'T have the little "record" icon (meaning anything I've been listening to). Not 100% sure, I'll have to check next time I'm in the car.

For the jog wheel model (Ultimate) the reason you can’t download is that the update also includes a USB flash drive for the extensive update. Just did mine. With power off, remove old SD card and replace with new one. Then when you go to the Update screen, you are asked to insert the flash drive in order for the Confirm button to work.

The update comes with clear instructions including pics.

Correct. Early 2015 ultimate require both the USB and the sd card to install the firmware and map updates.
