overall performance numbers are comparable between the the '93 Supra and '19 3.3T G70, weight difference looks to be ~400lbs.

amazing to think that a entry level sport compact sedan in 2019 hangs with a halo car from the 90's. i recall a C&D cover in the 90's with "The 300hp Club" headline. that was a big deal back then for attainable cars (not exotics). i think the cars were a corvette, 300ZX and probably the Supra, maybe a Dodge Stealth/Mitsubishi 3000 as well...

Thanks for the info about Supra vs. 3.3T. $42,000 back then was a mid level BMW .

I think my lack of impression for the "jolt" of my new 3.3T is that when I floor it, the engine is usually reving at 2,000 RPM.
In my manual Supra, I shifted to about 3500 before flooring it. I paddle shifted up to 3000 before flooring the 3.3T and was more impressed, but still not the jolt of my Supra, but I see your point, the 3.3T probably has a better power curve

Okay, if that's the case, I'm to take out the rear seats and anything else I can think of to lighten it .
I really miss my supra, got 210,000 miles out of it with a complete engine/t turbo/transmission change but the entire car started falling apart .
Once my wife was messing with the tuning knob on the radio and I told her to stop. When she didn't I floored it and it threw her back into her seat .I could pass people so quickly that it would frighten them, and they would yell at me with their brights. I wonder how much quicker a true European exotic was than this car

Geez, what do you do when she tries to use the TV remote?
