I would like it a lot better if it weren't chrome.
Maybe body color.
Well it is a smoked chrome.. looks good IMO.

I like it in chrome, but I would definitely like it better if it was carbon fiber![]()
What is it with this carbon fiber craze?? LOL I am always wondering what is so appealing about it?? Is it soothing or what?? I'm not making fun of you Soma or anybody.
Well, that is the main point of CF. Its ultra light and ultra strong!Personally, I just like the pattern and dark colors. It's something you don't see a lot of in your day to day life, so it stands out in a subtle way.
I'm too cheap to go crazy on CF parts for the car, but I do have a CF bicycle and I can tell you the physical properties (weight/stiffness) make it a hell of a lot better than metal in many ways.

Actually that was one of the factors I went with the Sport Edition, because I believe the Smoked Chrome gives it a better look vs. just chrome.I would like it a lot better if it weren't chrome.

You forgot that it's also ultra awesome looking.

Too busy IMO. Regular CF is busy as well...but at least a consistent pattern. Forged CF is like black granite/marble.Not to hijack the thread, but what are everyone's opinions on forged carbon? I'm very on the fence about it

Todd, do you stay up posting all night? Time stamps, if true show early am PDT.
Yeah, but my comment still stands. The MAIN or true purpose of carbon fiber is strength and weight. That's why planes, race cars, and exotics use it as main structural components. Sure. A spoiler or interior trim is mainly for looks, but hey, every ounce countsWell no..... that has actually changed if you think about it...... these companies where you find those words carbon fiber...... are currently using it as "accents" for the look. It's not saving any weight on this ultra thin pieces of material they put on the interior etc..
I understand major components.... when they use it for weight savings.... but it's becoming more common it seems strictly for the look.
I have to agree, I feel like it gives the car a sleeker look. That MB color is super tempting..
That is a gorgeous color... Some of you guys don't like that chevron/boomerang thing on the side.. I LOVE that thing. ......lol.
I don't know........it just adds alot to "assist" the lines of the vehicle IMO.
