  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys, glad to be a new member of the forum. I picked up my "new" girl today and really enjoyed my first 30 mile drive home on a 70mph freeway.

It's a 2019 G70 3.3TT Prestige in Mallorca Blue with the white/light-tan interior. It only has 19,600 miles on it. I paid $32,500 for it (traded in a 2010 Prius with 163,000 on it) and think that's a decent price, at least in Central Florida.

My question is how do you figure out home much warranty is left on it? I know the manual says that the warranty begins when the car is initially delivered to the dealer. In my case (via a CARFAX report) the car was initially delivered on 1/18/2019 to a dealership where it was serviced, then sent to another local dealership on 3/8/2019 where window tinting was applied and then put up for sale.

How can I figure out when my warranty ends? The Genesis member login site doesn't seem to help. Is there a site where we can enter the VIN to find out? Thanks.

The only way I know of is to call a Hyundai or Genesis dealer and give them the VIN and ask them to look it up. Better yet stop by the dealer and ask their service guy or parts counter guy to look it up and print the page for you so you’ll have it in writing.
Oh, and great-looking G70. Love that color.

Thank you. I appreciate the info. I'll give them a call.

Sounds to me like a dealer swap, so the most likely in-service date is the latter one IMO. But just call any dealer, and ask. But as a 2nd owner, you won't have the extended 10-yr/100K-mile powertrain warranty; just the bumper-to-bumper 5-yr/60K-mile one, so you know. Basically one year left.
