Hello all!

We just picked up our new Black/Black, 3.8 AWD with Sig & Tech. New michelins were already mounted and dealer threw in Wing badge in the rear.

What a car! Now trying to figure out all the gadgets. We are praying it'll be a car of a lifetime with NO issues. Sold our 2013 Passat (great car but under-powered). Will now look for the Hyundai 10/100/0 extended warranty.

Congrats on the new ride. Your gonna love learning, finding and trying out all the gadgets this car has. I have just over 11,000 miles on my car and learned a new one just the other day. Weather Radar map... Go figure... :D
 
Welcome, I have black/black and had windows tinted with legal limit 35%, seems to have really helped reduce heating when parked in sun. Legal limit varies by state but here in SC limit is 27% so 35% is ok. It is not black out but still reduces ultra violet by 99%+ and heat by about 50%.

No car is perfect. How the dealer deals with issues is part of the ownership experience. Some dealers are better than others.

That's my concern. Just never had any luck with stealerships in my area.
 
It's been my experience that getting to know the service manager and your service advisor can work magic in your experience with a new car. While this is much easier at a smaller dealership, it can be as simple as taking a box of donuts "for the guys" on your first service visit and later visits if you were satisfied with the way you were treated. It's good to be know as the nice guy who brings the donuts!

Agree wholeheartedly - When I brought our former car (Passat) in for service I always praised the SM and his staff and tried to keep things light hearted, even when I had an issues. He discounted repair for me, even when he didn't have to. We were in there one time, I forget the circumstances, and he told my wife to pick anything she wanted off the display rack in the parts window area. Little things like that go a long way with me.

I second that, I have used chocolates in the past Always worked.
