  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New owner

Welcome and congratulations. I have had my GV60P for about a year and a half and it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. But, I must admit, there was one thing that drove me nuts and it was the tires that Genesis put on a car labeled "Performance". I finally bit the bullet and replaced all four tires with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S HL rated tires and the car finally feels totally planted to the ground and capable of using the horsepower and torque that we have. You don't say where you are located so I don't know if ultraperformance summer tires are an option for you.

I was on the waiting list for a Lucid Air Pure for a couple of years when the GV60P popped up in my market (Arizona was one of the original 8 states). It checked as many boxes for me as the Lucid, just different ones. At the time these were the only two cars that met my needs and most of my desires and Lucid had still not released the specs on the RWD Pure. So I bit the bullet and went the other way, got the GV60P and cancelled my reservation for the Lucid. Now, with a tire replacement, it is still the best vehicle FOR ME.

I don't have android but my wireless Apple Cartalk appears to work perfectly including directions appearing on the HUD. If you don't want to wait for the wireless update, you can download it onto a thumb drive and install it yourself. I have done both in my time with the GV60P. If the update was released before you picked up your vehicle (I am assuming you bought it new) the dealer should have installed the update before giving the car to you.

PS You probably should have posted this in the GV60 subforum.

Just bought a 2024 GV60 performance and loving it. Still learning all about the features. I'm waiting on the wireless android auto update.
Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Congratulations on your brand new Genesis GV60! :) What did the GV60 replace for you?

Thanks. Infiniti Q60 convertible, It took me a while to replace as I loved that car too 😂 but glad I did.
The Infiniti Q60 is certainly a nice vehicle. The GV60 is a pretty big difference. Is there anything you miss about the Q60? Other than it being a convertible, which is probably kind of obvious. :p

Infiniti, IMO, made excellent cars until it gave up and started just making fancier versions of its mainstream (Nissan) front wheel drive cars. Yours was one of the last of the great ones. I have a buddy who kept a top of the line Infiniti sedan for fifteen years before finally getting a Lucid Air to replace it.

But, other than lacking an openable top, I predict you will love the GV60P even more. Slightly shorter, slightly wider, more powerful but heavier. To me, the most meaningful number is weight to horsepower. The GV60P is about 10 pounds per HP; I believe your Infiniti was similar.
