  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Traded Q7 for 3.5T Sport Advanced Mauna Red/Aquamarine Blue yesterday. Posted a few Pics for reference. Quick thoughts:

Aquamarine Blue is subtle and elegant. Maybe a bit lighter than it appears in the Genesis stock photos.
The ride is smooth but not plush. Its a blend of aggressive sport and luxo float.
I'm neutral on the Advanced 19" wheels. The 21" on the Prestige are way nicer.
Its quick! As advertised. A pleasure to drive. Tight and responsive.
Quilted leather seats are very nice.

Since you are going to ask, paid MSRP. No market adjustment or add on's (Arizona). Market adjustment is probably location dependent, if they are very popular and supply doesn't meet demand then probably. Or if in California pony up....

Really like that blue interior with quilted leather congrats

The blue looks much more subtle than I thought. Looks great. I'm not surprised about paying MSRP, but I'm surprised you got out of paying for the add-ons. Phoenix dealers in my experience hang onto those super hard, and it should be worse for the current market and a new, in-demand car. How did negotiating that go?

Yes agree in Phoenix. Actually this was at the Flagstaff Genesis dealer. Surprisingly agreeable, one silly "etching" add on which I got removed. Zero negotiation, figured trying to get below MSRP was a waste of time at this early cycle. Trade in $$ was what I was looking for. There's probably 150 GV80's in the Phoenix market now if the GV70 follows the GV80 supply pattern the dealers will cave.

Question for owners: how is the placement of the 14 inch touch screen? Doesn’t seem like it’s very practical for shorter drivers to reach the middle/right side. How is the scroll wheel controller with selecting things on the screen?

I’m 5’10”, no problem. Scroll wheel is easy too, like the original Ipod scroll wheel Hope this helps.

Like he said. The scroll wheel is all you need, with that and the steering wheel controls, you never have to touch the screen.

I paid ( leased) full boat here in Phoenix. Yes they had the silly add on's like Crystal Fusion glass treatment and door cups. I've done this a few times and they were not going to budge. They got a total of 6 fully loaded GV70's and had sold 3 in 2 days. There was another customer there that was waiting to see if I walked. Crazy.

I had a stout offer from Carvana on my 2019 Honda Ridgeline so I forced them on that which covered to add ons. This "chip shortage" has everything upside down. Most dealerships have such low inventory they are not " dealing" on much. Honda dealer here had a new loaded up Ridgeline and had a $4000.00 upcharge for " market adjustment! This on a vehicle that not many care about.

As Hunter Biden would say, seems like they're charging Hennessy rates! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Do you mind sharing your lease info? Given 1st edition (kind of), rapid changes in the auto industry and the fact I can save sales tax, looking to lease (for the first time ever) to have a safety-net and/or inexpensive out at 3 years. That said, you can get crazy lease rates (like .00017) on BMW and Audi right now. Really want to go GV70 to not be a me-too but having a hard time paying as much as BMW/Audi (actually more with the lease rate).

I'll look more into it later. They now download everything on a USB drive. I can tell you the residual was factored at 61% of the retail price of $64,575.00 ( $39,390.75) My money factor was very low as I used my trade in to do a "one pay" lease. It was almost a wash but in the end they owed me some money.

It is what it is. Right now you got to pay to play. At least they didn't open the box of higher than MSRP. Maybe there will be another chip shortage in 3 years and the car will be worth more than the residual ! Highly doubtful and who knows what kind of transportation scene we will be in then. I've bought way more vehicles than I leased but for this changing world and my age the lease was the only way to go..

Really like the blue interior. Does it have the red seatbelts?

Me too, originally (spouse) wanted red/red. Dealer had this one. Yup, red seat belts.

Awesome. Waffling between the silver or red exterior, will decide after I can see both to compare. Definitely will go with the blue interior which should look sharp with either. Don’t mind the 19” wheels, should be a bit softer ride vs. the 21”. Quilted seats look great. So congrats and good luck with your purchase, great choice.

I have the same combo coming that you have except in the Prestige. Looks great. Thanks for the pictures.

this looks like the same colour config my local dealer is getting in that supposedly has my name on it. I am enamoured with that interior and quilted NAPPA, Hence the Advanced model - otherwise I'd get the PRestige. I am concerned about the half-digital half analogue instruments though - what has been your experience so far with that? Does it look "goofy"?

Here is my Sport Prestige 3.5 Saville Silver ( black/red interior) 150 miles on it today. Love it. View attachment 37132

Nothing to worry about, the speedo is fixed on the left, and the right goes from a tach to visual external views for turning and lane change. I've never been a big heads up guy but to each their own. That aquamarine blue is a perfect paring with the Mauna Red you will love it.
