  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New pictures of the Hyundai Equus

The Toyota Camry and Lexus LS vehicles aren't even built in the same factory. They're completely different cars. The LS is an extremely high-tech automobile - just like the Mercedes S-Class - and offers luxurious comfort not available in any automobile made in the U.S. Sometimes the truth is not easy to take...

Yes, no kidding HG. I am aware they are built on different protocol, etc.... What I was saying, was the Lexus has always, and especially then, looked like a giant, whale of a camry. Look at them.

This is the most hilarious response that I have read in quite some time! So I guess the person who invented the radio shouldn't be credited with the invention simply because others all over the world listen, dance and enjoy the music that it emits. Just because you obviously despise or dislike the Japanese does not change the facts that Karaoke Machine was created by a Japanese person and that the widespread popularity of Karaoke throughout Asia only occurred after the Japanese made it widely successful.

While a Japanese person technically was the 1st to invent a karaoke machine, it was actually the Fils who were the one to make singing along to taped instrumental music popular in Japan (also, it was a Fil who patented the karaoke machine).

Also, sushi is just a Japanese take of raw fish dishes which originated from SE Asia.

This thread is getting confusing............does the Equus come with a Karaoke option or not??

The Filipino's inspired sing a long a style of Karaoke which was brought from the Philippines to Japan in the late 1960's. However the Filipino people were very segregated in Japan due to the rampant racism directed towards them and the Japanese would have never followed any trend on a large scale from any group or race they felt were beneath them.

Therefore Filipinos did not popularize Karaoke in Japan. Karaoke did not become popular and widespread in Japan until Daisuke Inoue invented the Karaoke machine and was able to promote and market his creation by leasing the Karaoke machine to bars and clubs in the city of Kobe.

And the only thing that Filipino inventor, Roberto Del Rosario did right was to be the first one to file a patent, which means very little in regards to the true origins of Karaoke because he didn't actually invent the first Karaoke machine and his version called the Minus-One was just a blatant copy of the original.

First off, I'm agreeing that a Japanese person invented the 1st Karaoke machine and that it was instrumental in spreading the popularity of singing along to taped music throughout Asia and the rest of the world.

However, the whole premise of Karoake is a take on the 'minus-one music' gadgets the Fils originated - make that Fil entertainers and singers, who were popular in Japan back during the 1960s.

And the Japanese have adopted numerous "trends" from peoples that they think are beneath them (from Celadon pottery from Korea and martial arts/ karate from China via the Ryukyuans) - they just are loathe to admit them.

Well actually your original statement in response to mine was that the Filipinos made Karaoke popular in Japan, which I explained throughly is/was incorrect. Plus I had already stated previously that the Filipinos were credited with instituting sing a long, which was the first version of what is today known as Karaoke.

However, there was no such thing as "minus-one music" gadgets or any other advancement in technology during the 60's from the Filipinos as their version of Karaoke was from pre-recorded cassette and cassette machines. The actual minus-one music machine wasn't invented by Roberto Del Rosario until the mid 70's.

Furthermore I can site quite a few examples of other cultures or groups that have duplicated or claimed intellectual property as their own through out history. So despite your obvious negative tirade against the Japanese, they are not the only race of people that have followed, recreated or mimicked others inventions.

1. This topic should be moved somewhere else in respect to this tread being made for the Equus.

2. Don't always believe what you read. That's the problem here...some of you folks believe what you read on the internet and classify it as the truth? It's a lot deeper than that. Trust me.

3. Regardless of other cultures, the point here is that the japs have a toxicity of the way they manipulate everything....most of the replies here are an excellent example of falling into this manipulation and they don't even know it....

You're a PRIME example of someone who's been hypnotized by the Japz manipulation to lead you to think the way you are....so sad

Don't always believe what you read. Instead, step outside the box and see the real truth on what's going on. I'll even help you a little to see the real light...

Just to prove my statements, DID YOU KNOW, PRESENT DAY, THE JAPZ STILL ALTER THEIR OWN HISTORY SCHOOL BOOKS TO HIDE THE TRUTH FROM THE YOUNGER GENERATION OF HOW F'ed UP SOME OF THOSE COWARDS ARE? :welcome: TO THE REAL WORLD OF TRUTH....

btw that time piece is garbage. Not TIME itself, but just that particular article. It is not far fetched to say that some Jap probably paid to make that claim. It's even happening today with any write-ups relating to Jap products...dude you have no friggin' idea. Wake up.

Japanese DID NOT INVENT "singing along with a machine."

You seem to keep going over this topic time and time again in a attempt to make a point, which is a simply a useless effort on your part. Most of what you have written makes very little sense and the majority your arguments are far from compelling nor are they based on any substantiated truth.

You are the one that originally started this ridiculously senseless tirade in first place. So maybe instead of asking that this topic be moved somewhere else, quite possibly you could quit your annoying and incoherent ramblings because it's evident that you have been unsuccessful in your attempt to make a logical premise on the subject matter. All I have done in my posts is to correct your prejudiced and biased false statements with facts not fiction or tall talk as you obviously seem to deal in.
