  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New R-Spec owner

I hope this kind of "sloppiness" doesn't slip over into product development and manufacturing/vendor quality!

Yep. It's a single DVD. My salesman mailed me a new "corrected" window sticker to reflect that

Interesting, my sindow sticker was on the dash and had not been peeled from the backing yet.

I assume this isn't worth the fight and will end up like the '12 bluetooth streaming issue.....???

I would say that you would have a case if the actual window sticker stated it had a 6 disc, but since it doesn't, probably not so much. It will be interesting to see what the Dealer says after contacting Hyundai with the VIN and serial number.

I know I'm late to the show but - welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up...

I called Hyundai Customer Service. They said that they had some quality issues with the 6 disc changer and switched to a higher quality single disc unit. I guess the dealers were given new window stickers to reflect the change.

I ahve the 2013 RSpec, but she said it applies to the 3.8L as well.

Badges came in, so took it in to the dealer. Threw the "...while this brochure was correct at the time of printing, models and options are subject to change......."

Expressed my displeasure, nothing but apologies, and they were frank that a call to Hyundai would be pointless.

The Eco Credits were explained to me as a useless game to play with yourself. Ohh well.

The badges make the car stand out as unique.

No 6 disc changer ....ok now that is a bit disappointing. In my 2010 it's loaded with DVD-A's and I have never had any issues with it, beyond it being a little bit slow to swap disc's. Does the 2013 RSpec support DVD Audio still or did they do away with that also ??

Yes, it does support DVD-A.. bought a couple. I wish it would support SACD as I have a collection of those.

Sorry to go OT ... quick question in regards to DVD-R or DVD-9 playback...is the Genny capable of playing 256 and 320kbps MP3's when written in directly to a blank dvd in 'Data' mode? Sure would be a nice thing to learn if it is...could really jam a lot of mp3's on a disc instead of using cd-r's or sync'ing BT up w my phone.
