  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello All,

My factory tires have to be replaced. And I decided to replace rims and tires at one time. I need an advice for the tires sizes. I plan to install "20 Inch Niche wheels m191 gamma bronze"
Front: 20x9, ET 38
Rear: 20x10.5 ET 40
--
The original:
245/40ZR19 8.5Jx19 ET40
275/35ZR19 9Jx19 ET49

Thank you!

I have a similar setup on my car 20×9″ et32 front and 20×10.5″ et45 they're pretty much flush with fenders (see pic. below) yours with et40 in the back might poke a couple mm. Barely noticeable tho.

The new tires should be 255/35 front and 285/30

Hello dareckibmw,
Thank you for your help. I tried to simulate this setup in rim calculator: Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets

And looks like with 285/30 I'll have a positive scrub radius which may affect on car's handling. I want to perform measurements and check if I can go with 295

I never though about "scrub radius" thing, I don't think it affect car's handling much and if it does, I wouldn't even notice that, lol I had those wheels on my '15 5.0 RWD and now on '18 AWD, no regrets at all.

Good to know! :)

Love that color. I have a 15 Ultimate Pamplona Red . Do you notice a difference in ride going to a 20 inch wheel?

It's a little bit hashed but since our roads are pretty smooth where I live, it's barely noticeable.

Your information was very helpful. Can you take a side pic? I notice a lot of owners are doing 10.5 in the rear instead of 10 in the rear....so I guess I'm going with a 10.5 cause it looks more "symmetrical".
I'm trying to figure if i want to do a 20 or 21. I think seeing yours from the side will assist with my decision. I have a 2019 Adriatic Blue 5.0 and the 19s just don't do it for me.

20's are perfect, imho.DSC_9663.webp

Much appreciated....the 30s (tires) don't look too low either so they'll protect your wheels.

You did a smokin' job with the ride. Thanks again for the help.

You go online for the wheels or locally?

A few years ago, one of our members bought them for his '15 5.0 and after I saw how they look, I fall in love with them, lol
Purchased them directly from Velgen dealer in Florida, they gave me a good price + shipping/handling. I live in Illinois.

Cool.....much appreciated!!
