Interesting, Genesis Canada offers 2 levels of winter wheels (rims+tires), 18" for C$2300 and 19" for C$2850 (x75% for US$). People often drop a size for winter tires and I guess if you have 21" 40% profile you'd want one of these. The only way I know to see them is to build a car, so below is a screen capture to show it's true.

It looks like TireRack doesn't offer rims for the GV70, but you can spec the GV70 on www.1010tires.com (Canadian) which starts at <C$1600 (U$1200) for a set of 4 wheels (19" Falken tires). I have no idea how good they are (I assume U$1200 gives a clue), have done no research, I'm hoping not to need winter tires on my GV70.

$3150 sounds excessive but maybe it's something special.

That price which was originally on my Purchase Order has since gone up to $3089. Shows this on the order as well. I will be fighting it when I finally get my car.

A lot of people want larger wheels because of the look, maybe another GV70 owner with the smaller wheels will trade with you? Otherwise, I still haven’t seen a GV70 that looks better with aftermarket wheels.

The Conti’s are a great tire, but since they’re not available in the correct 21” size, you could get the Michelin Pilot Sports mentioned at 2:28 (see below) and keep your wheels.

Agreed…IMHO most of the aftermarket wheels tend to give the GV70 a dated look…

Until I see some better aftermarket styles available I prefer the OEM wheels…

I really like the 21” OEM waffle spoke wheels… but my 19” are more suited to Houston’s rough urban pavement…

When they were driving aggressively on that winding narrow road in the rain...I got nervous! Very impressive for the conditions. I'm jealous of some of the features they get that we don't for the same model.

That’s true. But I put my energy into how blessed we really are for even a dumbed down version of the GV70. It really is an impressive machine. Extraordinary really.
