  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New System and Map Update v18.0 scheduled for... JUNE!

Untrue.

The 2023+ OTA started this morning. That post was describing the Wireless CP and AA update - the G70 won't get it.

The map and firmware/UI update is being pushed OTA.

"Don't shoot the messenger" but untrue, it was not referencing the Wireless CP and AA. If you read the post, it clearly says Gen 5 navigation doesn't support OTA.

I don't see that saying "Not CP or AA wireless Capable"; I see it says "Not OTA-Capable".
So maybe the 2023+ can, but again don't shoot the messenger, Genesis documentation, am I right?

Most years on the road can't I guess is what they meant.

Canadian update is available as of today through the app.

Was actually available as of August 29th for Genesis G70 2021 and older, and yesterday the 11th for other model and years :)

Just a follow up to the OTA question. I'm not sure from what year it began, but I know that the 24-25 have a standard 5W infotainment and does have OTA capabilitiy. I believe that they're differences between the 5 and the 5W.

Oh absolutely there is. I believe it. :)

It's well known that the hardware between the Nav 5 and Nav 5W changed, but Genesis was very clear in that doc those years. (Including 2024, 2025) were not OTA capable.

I know my 2021 doesn't support OTA for example, but referenced that doc for the other years. (I'd expect Genesis to know their own lineup a bit better than myself) clearly they are just as confused, and should have their documentation updated to reflect the correct years of up to 2022 not supporting OTA, and 2023+ (maybe 2022 now too? I'm not sure) supporting OTA if that's the case.

So after an hour usb plugged into the car, I now have
sports (that requires connected services) &
Add voice recognition.
That’s it !
After all these months waiting for something exciting. What a F’n let down.

Nav app version & map version do have different numbers - but I can’t tell what’s changed.

I was hoping the radio screen would get fixed. Not sure if I am the only one, but when I scroll thru my favorites, the bar continues so I miss the channel I want to select.

The only "software" difference I noticed on our models so far is the car temperature readings when changing the temperature.
I noticed this too! Font size got smaller maybe? And a new little vertical line

Just did this on my 21, quickest one yet. Took about 30 minutes to load the SD card then only 15 minutes once I put the SD card in the car.

Can anyone else verify this bug?
The Tune wheel scroll now skips 2 channels at a time. I'm on XM radio and scrolling channels, it's skipping since the update for some weird reason. 2019 G70 latest update

I cannot believe that we're into November tomorrow and Genesis STILL hasn't released a Fall navigation update! :(

Buddy an update was released in September last month lol.

No updates again for some 6+ months.

Replying in this thread as well since I noticed the same skipping, sometimes 2 channels, sometimes 3 or even 6, when using the tune dial. Hopefully get more eyes on this question.
2021 G70 3.3 Sport Prestige. Prior to doing the update it worked normal. Update two weeks ago, and now it skips.

Same here, except it skips 4 channels at a time for me.

So it appears that the OTA update that I did in late September was the one you're referencing, BUT there were no map updates with that OTA update. Looks like they're holding off new map updates until the Spring '25 release. I least I hope that's when we'll see it. IMO an annual maps release is sufficient. System updates should be as needed.
