I have 25,000 miles on my OEM tires and it looks like they will need replaced in another 5,000 miles (rears). The fronts have more tread left, 5mm to the wear bars as compared to 3mm on the rear tires. As I was researching today it seems that we are really locked into the Michelin Primacy line because of the weight of the vehicle and width of our tires. I have three primary criteria in my search for an EV tire;
1. low rolling resistance.
2. Acoustic tuned (foam)
3. XL for the weight
My secondary criteria is higher mileage and price.
First, I am wondering if anyone else has researched tires for the G80 EV and has some advice.
Second, since the tires are offset I'm considering 280's on the back to extend the wear to match the front tires.
Edit:
My research has been through a Genesis dealership, a regional tire chain that I regularly use and Tire Rack.
