  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm Dex , I'm considering purchasing a 2012 Spec R . I recently purchased a 2010 Lexus GS 450H. I'm also driving a 2006 Lexus GS430. I owned several Hyundai's over the years. But I'm liking the idea.I've been able to to change the gear.ect.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. I've never seen a Lexus GS I didn't like - so I know the Genesis will have some pretty big shoes to fill. But I'm confident you'll be happy with the Genesis. Keep us posted as I'd love to see how the two compare...

Well said, However as far as bolt on modifications go for the 2006 Lexus GS430 there's not much out there that can actually add more horsepower and Torque. PPE Headers are good for 30 hp A cold air intake with tune could help with around 15.hp. Problem is there hasn't been any tuning companies that have dyno proven horsepower gains. Weapon R Cold air kit and tune only goes from 1998-2005 . Same way with stall converters. The 2006 GS430 precision industry's isn't making there dragon converter for the 2006 6 speed automatic transmission. The 98-05 there converters pick up the GS 430 & 400 1 second in the 1/8 of a mile. Now my 2010 Lexus GS450H hybrid is the quickest GS ever made. Once again there aren't any tuning companies or a company whom has figured out how to increase the h.p from the 2 electric motors.. The Spec R 5.0 has a stronger engine at 429 factory, plus tunes, ring and pinion change is very available. My 2006 aGS 430 with a good nos 150 wet shot would get the 4000 lbs car making 450 hp or so....

Very true. Naturally aspirated setups are difficult to add power to. But you did nitrous? That must have felt great. The original GS400 and even 430 were quick for their time. The latest versions, not so much. Especially after they ditched the V8...
