  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Welcome aboard, Ryan! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. You have a Genesis GV80? If so, how are you liking it? And what did it replace for you?

I am loving it. I only drive it while working but my main concern is with the battery. A lot of the GV80’s (along with the sedans) batteries seem to be draining kind of quick. Within a couple weeks of a vehicle not starting, the battery dies. I was told the batteries have to come from Genesis (Korea) and are on back order for several months. Any advice on this?

Not sure about that, but we do have a dedicated GV80 section where you can do a search on the topic and start a new discussion if people aren't already discussing it.

There have been people with battery issues. I was having problems where mine was not charging up above 60%, so auto start/stop was not working. I took my GV80 in for service and they checked and replaced my battery. At least my dealership had one in stock. It has been almost a year since that and have had no issues since. A lot of owners are buying battery tenders to keep their battery up when they are not driving it regularly. Seems to be the best thing to do.

Ok. That’s good advice. We’re gonna need a few of them. lol. Thank you for your feedback.
