  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Picked it up yesterday. 2010 Genesis 4.6 w/ Tech Package, 32k miles, White Satin Pearl, & Cashmere Premium leather. Car was in amazing condition… one owner with all service paperwork. Originally purchased at the dealer I bought it from and just traded in on a new Equus. Paid $25k out the door for car + 7/100 Hyundai Platinum Extended Warranty with $0 deductible. Don't know if I got a great deal or not but after a 5 hour drive home in it I'm pretty sure I got a great car. Only issue I've found is that when I got home I went to open the door I discovered that the silver film that covers the plastic inside door handle is coming off on the back of the handle. Not sure how I missed that when examining the car at the dealer. Hoping that it will be covered by warranty.

This car is replacing my 2002 Lexus GS430 with 278k miles. That car was still running as good as the day I bought it but it was time to move to something with a few more "toys".

Look forward to spending lots of time in these excellent forums. Quick phone cam picture below… better photos to follow.

Cheers!

Congratulations! Car looks great in white. If I were buying again would probably buy white just so I wouldn't have to wash it so often (mine is black). Looks like you have the 2012 wheels on the car, unless the same design was used before that as well.

Thanks… I love the white. My Lexus was black and I was determined that this one was going to be a light color… tired of washing my car and an hour later not being able to tell it had been washed.

Congrats! Love the Genesis in white. Enjoy it.

Welcome! Congrats on the new Genny!

That is exactly the car I want! ;) And you got a good deal.

Good luck with it. btw what area are you from?

Cheers,
Brian

Congrats and welcome.

Very similiar to the deal I got ($25K also) minus the Plat Extended warranty and 19K on the odo.

Seeing that makes me wish I would have waited for a white one to pop up but a solid 4.6 Tech with low miles was hard enough to find. Just gets so damn dirty so damn quick.

That is awesome! Congrats to you both! I am encouraged by you prices as that is the ball park I am looking to be in and the exact same ride too sans I want Black. It just looks better.....I know I know for only a handful of hours. :-) I have been a bit vexed with the prices that Edmonds.com and Blue Book show for the rides but then what they are selling for is another price. So thank you to you both for your info and congrats again.

Might I ask either of you gents( kirkk or cspartan) what number did you started at in your initial offer or did you simply give a price for out the door and that's the best I can do?

They started @ $28,500 + TTL. I started at $24k all in, no doc, no TTL, no nothing. Honestly either they didn't know what they had, really took the couple that traded it in for a Highlander for a major soaking, thought the RWD V8 might sit through the winter or some combination of these factors. Either way it was fun getting up, shaking hands and walking to the door 3 times only to be stopped before we had a deal.

They started out asking $26.5k + $300 BS doc fee (TTL wasn't at issue since I was buying out of state). I offered $24k and we ended up at $25k (including the extended warranty) OTD.

Thank you both very much for your information it is most helpful in my current negotiations for a 2010 Blk/Blk 4.6 tech.

Oh and kirkk you need to change your tag line from "drives a Genny in his/her dreams" to owning one! Move that tassel over slick! LOL :)

Congrats on the new Genesis and welcome to the forum.
