  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just picked up a 2013 5.0 r spec with 53k miles and am loving it! It has a few things that need fixing though so I'm hoping I can get pointed in the right direction.

1. The driver mirror's folding motor isn't catching. I can hear it turning and trying to fold the mirror but it's not moving at all. Anybody have links to parts and/or how to fix?
2. A handful of engine bay plastic clips are either broken or missing. Does anyone have a part # or a link so I can just buy like a handful of them?

Other than that, this car drives amazing! Loving every minute of it so far. Thank you!

Check out Rock Auto. They carry quite a bit of parts for this platform. There is another website that I can share tomorrow when I get home that I have purchased quite a bit of parts for 2014 BH.

:welcome: to the forum!

For the mirror gear, DIY is worth the effort. $9 amazon part vs. the ~$2k invoice covered by extended warranty for my dealer to replace a failed mirror gear years ago with an entire new OEM mirror assembly including paint (they don't come painted).

Here's the thread:

As to the engine bay clips, take one to a local dealer and get a part#, then order online. Or search through listings of multi-packs like this to ID the one you want (or just buy the entire kit):

You'll need some of the door clips to do the mirror, because when you remove the door panel you'll usually break a few. Usually no way to avoid it even with proper trim tools and care, because they get brittle with age. Been there done that. Most dealers/mechanics have buckets of them in stock.

Thank you both so much!! Great info, sounds like I've got my work cut out for me. Other than that, only short term plans I have are replacing the stock display with an Android Auto compatible unit.
