  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,

Picked up a brand new R-Spec a few weeks ago. Was supposed to pick up a different car but due to my schedule, I ended up with a 2013 WSP 5.0 R-Spec.

The day I picked it up at the dealership.

I have already replaced the Flying H emblem with a Black Chrome wing emblem and all wheel caps have been replaced as well.

I already have a few plans for the car and here's a teaser--albeit pchop'd--picture.
These wheels (20"s) were on my previous car and I might get a set of adapters to make them fit on the Genesis. FYI, I didn't bother to pchop the brakes.

Hopefully, Genny will serve me well for the next few months as there is a car that I want to buy. It's a temporary vehicle for the time being but I'm beginning to like it more and more everyday :P
Maybe I'll keep it for the next few years, who knows? lol

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
would you like to sell me the R-Spec OEM wheels and tires?

Sorry, no can do. Unless I find a dealership that is willing to pay me thousands of dollars for those wheels (20 x 9.5) + tires (285/30/20) :D

3-Piece Forged Aluminum wheels aren't cheap ;)

Congratulations. Does your white G have a black interior? I couldn't tell from the pics. The white with black interior looks great and I don't see may of them around.

I may be in the minority but I really like the standard wheels and tires that come with the R-Spec. Your new wheels would look good on the G, too. Just one suggestion. Have you thought about a wing emblem for the hood? I think it adds a nice, distinctive touch. Congrats again. The R-Spec is a great ride.

Welcome! Ride looks good!

No, I have a Cashmere interior. I don't think you can get black interior on certain colors. I already have a black chrome wing emblem for the hood, I just haven't put it on.

I'll put a black deck lid spoiler on and have it tinted as well. I'm also going to wrap the roof black. :D

Welcome to the club

Thanks!

Thanks!

Very nice! I look fwd to seeing your future mods..your pics reaffirm my decision to get the rspec in WSP.

Cashmere interior on an rspec is actually rare...most come w black interior. There was a prior thread pointing out one that was on a dealers web listing, but I think you're the first mem here w such a combo.

I've been keeping an eye out at Midwest inventory via Hyundai circle and cars.com...every wsp rspec I has blk interior so far.

Haha I didn't know that mine's a rare color combo. Lol
I'm a Hyundai employee so I have unlimited access to Hyundai Circle. :)
When I first saw mine at the dealership, it wasn't even in the system. I literally picked it up a day after it was unloaded from the semi truck. It had plastic covers/wraps all over it and I had to wait for a day so they could complete the inspection. Lol

what is your permanent ride to be?

Having owned a modified Audi for YEARS, I strongly prefer German cars. So it'll be a German car again. Most likely a(n) S/RS/M/AMG car. :D
I was supposed to pick up an E60 M5 but due to my schedule and the limited time, I just couldn't pick up the car that was 17 hours away.

Excellent-we've had several German cars in our family over the years. My sister has a 650I. I love the car-especially the heads up display, but for me it is not worth the cost difference. It is a blast to drive.
;)
