  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
1G Genesis Sedan (2009-2014)
Traded a 2011 Audi A4 Quattro in for a 2014 3.8 sedan. I'm looking forward to the significantly lower cost of ownership that goes along with head turning style.

I used this site to research my purchase and knew I had to join. Solid conversations across the full breadth of ownership. Looking forward to learning and contributing!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Genesis Sedan! I'm glad you found us. :)

Welcome, and enjoy your new ride!

Welcome! A ‘14 model is the the sweet spot of the ‘09 - ‘14 first generation style. Which version do you have?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Thank you! I have the 3.8L base but with what looks like an aftermarket power sunroof. I really wish I held out for one with the technology package, but I fell in love with this car and can always upgrade speakers/head unit down the road.
Just ordered Weather tech liners and the wing front and back badges! I'll post pics soon!

Here is a bit of trivia. When the ‘09 Genesis debuted, a large number of base models had non-factory sunroofs added. I don’t recall all the details now, but the cars were bought by rental companies like Budget, etc. This helped to give the newly introduced Genesis its initial introduction to the public. I don’t know the source of your car’s sunroof but, hopefully, it is in good condition. Good luck with your upgrades! I’d suggest wheel caps too. I think you can buy them here at this site.

Good thought, I'll have to do some digging! Carfax said two previous lease owners and the car has 60k miles on it. The biggest issue I have is the headliner feels loose and saggy. I had my mechanic give it a solid look over and the really important stuff seems in order. I hope it lasts because I really like the OG first gen body style.
Thanks again for the info, definitely have me thinking about this car's past.

A headliner can easily be replaced by a custom car shop. Heck, Ant does it all day long on “Wheeler Dealers” (Motor Trend channel) and never even charges for it.
