Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. New Turbo? Need Help.

My mechanic told me that the insanely loud rattling coming from my engine turned out to be from my turbo, and it was because my wastegate doesn't open anymore.
He told me that it's still perfectly safe to drive and go into boost since I have a BOV on the car.
Is this true?
Also, he told me I can't fix it, and that I have to buy a new Turbo if I want the noise gone.
Is this true?
If it is, anyone know where I can find an oem turbo for a 2013 Genesis Coupe 2.0t, and do I need the manifold as well if I'm going to replace the Turbo?

I would really appreciate all answers and advice.
