  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got an alert in MyHyundai account today:

Feb 04 2018 Your New Vehicle Software Update is now available for vehicle with VIN number ending in XXXXX (ST.DH.USA.E509.160420: Sep 1 2015 12:00am)

I hesitated to go ahead to update because the date at the end makes it look outdated, although the message was sent yesterday. However, I looked up the last update when Android Auto was available from last year message. That version was listed as (ST.LF.USA.E506.160316: Apr 15 2016 5:54am). The new notice with the version 160420 seems to be a newer version than 160316, but the date at the end is an older date.

Did anybody receive such an update message? Does anybody know the difference between DH and LF on the version designation?

I got the alert as well. Downloading now, worst case it’ll tell me the upgrade version is the same as the installed version.

I was thinking to go ahead to do that too. Please let us know if this is indeed a new version too. I checked and the version in the car now is the same as in the message, i.e. 160420, so I am thinking the message just posted the current version in the car rather than the new version number. There may be indeed a newer version than 160420.

It’s the same. I popped it in and the system said “this is the same version installed. Do you still want to install?” Or something like that, so I didn’t install it.
