  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey folks, looking to get a new 2015 Genesis. I have been lurking around for quite a while, seeing if I really wanted a Hyundai. Most comments about the Genesis' are positive and like any brand, there are a few issues. I have liked the 1st generation for about 2 yrs when I saw one at the dealership. Hyundai hasn't in the past had a good name as far as quality goes. I believe that is no longer the case, at least I hope not before I make the plunge. Ya'll have pretty much changed my mind about that. I went and test drove a 2013 and it is quite a nice ride with lots of standard equipment. I just wish they would quit using that fake wood trim, I have never found that attractive on any brand. I would rather see leather or better yet some carbon fiber accents.
Got a call from the salesman that went on a test drive with me that the new 15's were coming in this week, I am pretty excited about that. We'll see.

Keep all the good information coming, will let you know when I am the proud owner.:D

2015 has real wood, and imo the ivory/black ash is the best interior. I didn't take my 2012 rspec to the dealer for any warranty work the entire 1yr, 4 mo's I owned it. I hope that holds up for the new one I just picked up. The Mercedes e55 amg I got rid of for my first genesis visited the dealer every 3-6 months with a running list of things that needed to be replaced. While under warranty it was ok, although inconvenient, but out of warranty became way too expensive to maintain. That was one of my primary motivations for the 2012 Genesis rspec, I bought it CPO and extended the Bumper to Bumper warranty to 10 yrs for only $1800 - going to get that money back from the dealer once I get my payoff too[emoji12]ImageUploadedByTapatalk1430263944.957668.webp

I know this is an old post. But I missed it. Welcome aboard, gofast! And thank you for signing up...

The E55 AMG is one of my favorite high performance luxury sedans. It's a shame to hear it had so many problems. I wonder if the E63 AMG is any better...
