Getting familiar with the group...
Hello all:
This is my first post. Just test drove a 4.6.
I am a current owner of a 535i and my wife drives an X5. We have only had BMW's for quite some time.
I was impressed. I was expecting Lexus-soft suspension but the 4.6 was firm. Not as firm as the 5, but I am finding at my age, a race-tuned suspension is overrated and not necessary for the driving I do. I took an freeway cloverleaf and experience little body roll. Nice.
Build quality was superb. Panel gaps uniform. No orange peel in the paint (you see that in my 5).
Leather dash- nice touch. Interior was quieter than my 5. 6-speed shifts were smoother than the BMW. I do wish the 4.6 would throttle blip on downshifts, though.
Anyway, my concern is snow. Here in Colorado, most everyone drives an AWD or 4WD. Very few daily drivers are rear drive only.
With the all-season tires on the Genesis, how does it handle snow?
Thanks for any insight.
