  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The next generation of Hyundai's Equus, Genesis Sedan and Genesis Coupe will get all-wheel drive according to CEO John Krafcik, revealed at today's Equus drive event. The move is no doubt intended to put Hyundai on equal footing with its luxury rivals like BMW, Cadillac, and Audi, all of which offer all-wheel drive versions of their most popular sedans and coupes.

Great news! Go Hyundai!

Saw a Korean article today that said Hyundai-Kia Motors is going to be releasing the new Kia flagship (development codename "KH") in March 2012 as a 2013 model.

Article also mentioned this model, as well as the 2013 Genesis and 2013 Equus would be released with an AWD drivetrain perfect for "snowy" climates. Remember, this release would be a KOREA release - it would probably take 6 to 12 months for the subsequent North America release.

AWD sounds great for winter habitats (like New England), but honestly, the added weight will hurt performance, and I can probably work from home the 5 or 6 really bad snow days every year.... :)

Still... good news I think.

Great news. Thank you for posting this up!

Ruissimo - your reply would be a good "new topic" on it's own in the Hyundai/Kia area...

LOL, thanks Sal... was under the impression we weren't allowed new topics, but maybe it was just in the "News and Announcements" section!

><

Anyways... it is a bit of great news I suppose. I'm not sure if I can get excited about the AWD on the Genny yet, though. The reason that attracted me was the fact that I could get a ton of car for a very low price - but now Hyundai will be adding AWD, Blue Link, and potentially other features to the 2013 model, which I'm sure will raise the price a few thousand - while it will still be a great value compared to other, more expensive vehicles, some of us might have been "stretching" their finances from a crummier car TO the Genesis.

It's going to be interesting - I suppose I should just buy one now, 'cause there'll always be newer cars with newer toys, right?

Hi everyone! I am new today to the forum but have been observing for awhile.
Great information everywhere! I talked to the marketing rep on the new 2012 MY. He said a few are now trickling into various dealers with more slated to expand the rollout in 2 weeks.

I asked as well about the ride at speed over abnormal road surfaces that many here have had issue with. He said all models will recieve like upgraded suspensions, but the R-Spec as we all know will have larger stabilizer bars for what they call more "sporty" which will = stiffer...

I have had over 15 cars in my life one of which was a 92' corvette which was the year they introduced the LT ONE V8 = 300hp. So the stiffer suspension will suit me just fine. Although I did mention to the rep if they installed a selectable driver suspension gadget in the instrument panel would be great. I also told him with Blue Ray Movies becomming the norm now they should consider upgrading their DVD players to play these as well for forward thinking, especially since the Lexicon does do 7.1 surround sound.

I am planning on pulling the trigger on the R-Spec in silver/black soon as it hits the dealer. Was also considering the chrysler 300c srt8 & the Jeep srt8 both = 465 hp with fuel saving tech for about the same price as the genny r-spec. Sound systems will have 800 to 900 watts, YIKES!! The three each have pros & cons so it's confusing.

I just hope the local dealer at mikemiller hyundai in peoria IL. will deal some with me...Any ideas/suggestions feel free to shoot me an e-mail. Would love to get a great "deal".

Being in Peoria ILLINOIS we do have "some" inclement weather so I will be looking at possible snow tires & wheels for 2nd set maybe.

:welcome:

Chrysler's version of fuel savings is to take their horribly inefficient and outdated engines and bringing them to be slightly behind to barely on par with the competition.
