  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am getting mixed answers and hoped this would be the place to solve them all :

I just got a 2022 Genesis G70 Sport Prestige and I am looking for the NFC Key Card....Some places it says it comes with the car, however no documention with the car indicates that...

I get the android / iphone debate...my real issue is if my car was supposed to come with something...I want it :D

So .... does this model come with the card or not?

It came with our 2022. It was laying in the bottom of the console - black on black in black - very tough too see.

I checked that spot after reading your reply...but not there...I also fanned each page of each of the 7 books the car came with...

Well, now to begin the uphill battle with the dealership.

I explicitly told the salesman when I took delivery "Where is the NFC Card" and his answer cause he was in a rush to go home was "Some have it some don't" to which I replied "Well this one has it..."

I texted him this AM as I left the carrot dangling regarding my wife getting a GV80. I hope to resolve this soon!

Thanks for the help.

Mine didn’t have it however I called up the dealership and asked for one. They shipped it out at no charge.

I think doesnt it have some special feature listed on the window sticker?

Also i wonder can any new g70 use a nfc card or does or is it a feature?

I just bought a 22 sport prestige and it had it, also the dealer set up the card as I have an iphone. I tested it yesterday and it worked great. It was listed in "added features, Sport Advance Package"

Resolved. Connected Services apologized for the lack of card and a new one was sent out free of charge.

I just wanted to add for those who may be googling around and found this thread as I did after getting my 22 G70 Prestige model, if the "window sticker" for your VIN does not list a NFC Card then your car is software locked to prevent you from utilizing these features.

I went through the process of buying my own Genesis NFC card before finally talking to a support rep that confirmed certain trim levels of the G70 do not have this feature enabled (even though all the necessary tech is there). So now I'm trying to find ways around that by "rooting or flashing" the infotainment system to unlock that feature set.

Perfect timing on this. I was about to waste $100 on a stupid NFC card (I paid $30 for the Hyundai one for my 2022 Santa Fe Calligraphy). The salesman told me ALL Genesis had the 'digital key' feature, so I assumed my 2023 top-line 2.0 Sport Prestige did, but just checked, and the 'digital key' sub-menu is not under vehicle settings, like it was on the 3.3T SP I returned (which came with a key, actually), and it is on my 2022 SF Calli. Oh well. All Prestige packages should have it, even if NFC key wasn't provided (like on the SF).

Bottom line is if 'digital key' is not on the menu, there's simply no way to add one. You need to put both fobs inside the vehicle, put the NFC card over the wireless charger, and click on 'save' under the 'digital key' menu, then 'NFC card' sub-menu. Similar procedure to add an Android phone as well. Hopefully the upcoming fall software update will add it?

Which updates are you talking about? And on 2.0T or 3.3T? I need to call CS because I keep getting notices my car needs maintenance, when it does NOT, PLUS I disabled maintenance notifications because I do everything myself. Will ask them about the NFC card too... if I remember. Ha ha.
