No Android Auto in Canada, official word from Hyundai Canada

Apparently Android Auto is rolling out for Genesis 2015 and 2016 models in the US. According to Hyundai Canada twitter, the Android Auto is only available for the 2017 Elantra and some other 2017+ models. There will be no updates for older models.

I have emailed them but haven't heard back yet. Any thought?

Just received this from Hyundai Canada:
"... due to the fundamental differences in both hardware and required functionality (such as bilingual services) between Canadian and US vehicles, there will be no retrofitting of the model year 2016 (or prior) Hyundai vehicles in Canada."

Let us know if you find the download and whether it works. Canadian Genesis owner here and also looking to see if we can get an upgrade.

Perhaps we might not be able to get the upgrade electronically but will need to wait for the next SD nav upgrade in June.

Living in a new development and the maps still think our house in the middle of a field. LOL
