  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

No bluelink!!!

Stuff happens, it's not a perfect world. Just be honest and tell us that, don't lie and cover up.
After dealing with the useless Bluelink people I called the Equus/Genesis hotline. Don't know if it was coincidence or not or just perfect timing but they refreshed the account and everything is working now.

What is this Equus/Genesis hotline of which you speak?

Reminds of someone who has AAA or depends on included road service plans. Try to get a boost in the middle of a snow storm or extreme cold temperatures. You will be waiting all day at best.

PayPal would work lol. It's the principle of the matter, sometimes that means more then a mcdouble worth of cash.

I know, but I have learned to try and be more patent when it comes to tech stuff and expectations of 100% uptime. Tech does not work like that and the answers everyone wants are sometimes not as perfect. My experience to date with BL as far as service delivery has been positive, so I am willing to allow for an outage, especially in the middle of a natural disaster. If it was a business delivery platform with an SLA, maybe I would be less forgiving.

AAA does a little better than that. Inclimate weather can slow them down, yes, but they usually communicate the ETA fairly well. But, I always ask for the phone number of the tow-truck driver, just in case! :-)

It is the same 800 # but don't pick the Bluelink option. What until you hear the Equus/Genesis option.

I can confirm that it was out for me too....

....and the email notification isn't work well either. When I start my car remotely I get an email saying my Equus did NOT receive the request....

But the flashing lights and exhaust coming from my tailpipes says otherwise....

NOT GOOD!

Update from this morning:

When I dropped my Genesis off for service this morning the service advisors were telling customers that they couldn't so some recalls because Hyundai's "servers were down" they needed to connect the cars to as part of the recall. Just throwing that in there for what's it worth.

It sounded like it might have extended beyond just Bluelink services but perhaps the service side is all wrapped up in that as well?

My vehicle status, etc seems to be updating just fine now.
