  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

No corporate customer service- can't compete with the "Big Boys"

I'll bet he got an earful from some Quadrifoglio owners... Although, I've heard that the 2.0L's seem not to have nearly as many problems.

2.0 had a ton of issues....mostly with the infotainment stuff. But almost every Giulia owner on the site suffered from at least one event of the car losing power and going into limp home mode. Mine happened in the neighborhood at 20 mph...others happened to them at 60 on the highway.

First gen car, so it was understandable. FCA fighting and telling us we couldn't have the new software released to fix those exact issues...not understandable.

Same here in Houston, at least at the one nearest me. If you bring in a Genesis with an appointment, they're at least a little more polite to you while explaining it will be at least an hour before anyone can even look at it.

Meanwhile, you'll have to sit in the Hyundai "chicken bus" with everyone else. Or take your free water & walk over to the Genesis showroom and sit in a G90 and play with the gadgets and look at brochures until you're tired of talking to the sales guy.
Yours has a Genesis showroom? Mine had a G70 sitting between a Sonata and a Santa Fe. I'm not exaggerating.

That bites...! But good to know. Had thought about picking up a 2.0L Giulia in the future. Hate to encounter one on the used market.

Didn't say it was a big one. That G90 took up almost the whole floor!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

A 2019 or a 2020 would be ok I'd bet. The 2017 and 2018 are a crap shoot.

Exactly like here in north Virginia. And they mix you in with everyone else even if you have an appointment. Great cars, but the dealer experience and service detract from it all - such a shame.

You must be going to the wrong Houston Genesis dealer. The one I bought my ‘20 G80 GT from has a VIP area for Genesis owners.
IMHO Hyundai is playing far above their capability by trying to support the Genesis brand in shared dealerships. My salesperson was not the caliber of employee that I was accustomed to dealing with at other premium automobile dealerships.
I really like the car, but I am very worried about the service I will receive. I can’t say anything bad about the service because I have not needed any yet.

GT?

I haven't had any service yet, but the buying process was a good experience. We shall see.
If the buying experience was good chances are you have a good dealer and the service will be good also. Like very other brand, there will be some dealers very good, other, not so much.

Which dealer was that? I use the one on 290, just because it's easy to get to from my house....
